Pre-draft public consultation on Mayo Biodiversity Action Plan

MAYO County Council's biodiversity office is holding a series of pre-draft public consultation drop-in sessions and public workshops for the development of the upcoming Mayo Biodiversity Action Plan 2026 -2031.

Dates and venues are as follows:

April 28 - Ballina Arts Centre 7pm to 9pm

April 30 - Westport Town Hall 7pm to 9pm

May 2 - Achill Library 11am to 2pm

May 6 - Aras Inis Gluaire 1pm to 4pm

May 7 - Claremorris Library 11am to 2pm

May 8 - TF Hotel, Castlebar, 7pm to 9pm

In this pre-draft consultation, the biodiversity office would like to hear your views on nature and your ideas on how we should be addressing the biodiversity crisis at a local level.

This is your opportunity to highlight the key issues affecting biodiversity in your locality and assist in identifying what we should be aiming to achieve over the period of the County Mayo Biodiversity Action Plan 2026 - 2031.

Community groups, individuals, stakeholders or groups/associations are all encouraged to make observations in forming the action plan.
