Nominations are open for The Connaught Telegraph Mayo Young Sports Star Awards 2022

The Mayo Young Sports Star Awards, organised by The Connaught Telegraph to recognise our younger athletes aged Under 23 who have become high achievers, will make a huge return this March.

This year’s event will build on these awards having become a huge stage on which to support our young athletes and which took place each year for five years pre-Covid.

We invite you to be part of this journey and help support and recognise our young sports stars.

If you know of an individual, a group or a team of Mayo sportspeople who performed exceptionally in 2022, now is your chance to nominate them.

These nominations can also include a coach, mentor or volunteer whose help has ensured the success of others.

Nominations can be submitted for any sport.

The presentation event will be held at Breaffy House Resort on Friday, March 10, where each winner will be honoured.

The closing date for receipt of nominations is Monday, February 20.
