Mayo ace facing long spell on sidelines due to injury

Mayo ace Colm Boyle looks set to be ruled out for up to six months with a knee injury.

Reports are emerging from Navan that the four-time All-Star suffered cruciate ligament damage when he attempted to stop a Dublin attack in last week's National League clash in Castlebar.

He received treatment on the field and attempted to play on, but he was replaced at half-time.

The news represents a huge blow for manager James Horan and the squad.
